FAMILY TREE PROJECT
The ambitious vision to trace the lineage of Zrin's inhabitants has transformed into a reality.
The Zrin Family Tree project is making incredible progress, surpassing everyone's expectations. Currently, there is an impressive 2,127 people listed in the tree, all of whom have ancestors from Zrin. These individuals have relatives scattered across the world, and we're proud to have the first descendant from Zrin returning home. We need your help to keep growing the project. It's a collaborative effort, and we appreciate everyone's contribution. It's amazing how each small piece of information has come together to build what we have today. We've discovered not only verbal history but also some surviving birth, death, and marriage records, with new findings added every day.
The technology of the 21st century is also playing a crucial role. Ancestry DNA tests are incredibly accurate and affordable. If you want to help, taking a DNA test from www.Ancestry.com would be wonderful (we're not affiliated with Ancestry, but using the same company's test helps our research, and they're the largest provider in the market). The older the person taking the test, the better. So, if you have grandparents still alive, they are a great choice. It also helps to have multiple tests per family. Here's the link if you're interested.

Charts can be presented in different ways.
The following chart depicts the relationship between two individuals. In this particular example, you can see the connection between Kata Ikic and Biship Icica Petanjak.

An alternative choice would be the Fan chart, like the one presented by Kata Ikic below, illustrating her 2 parents, 4 grandparents, and 8 great-grandparents.

The Ancestors chart displayed below, tracing Branka Dembic's lineage, reveals the Dembic family line extending as far back as Pavao Dembic in the year 1770.

Additionally, an “All Relatives” chart is available. An "All Relatives" family tree is an extensive and comprehensive genealogical chart that aims to include as many known relatives of a particular individual as possible. Unlike traditional family trees that may only focus on direct ancestors and descendants, the "All Relatives" tree seeks to incorporate all branches and connections within the family lineage.

These trees can be extremely large. This example for Bishop Ivica Petanjak’s “All Relatives” tree has over 700 individuals in it and prints out to 9 metres.
